Features of the Coastal Trail

  • Once completed, the Coastal Trail will be 1,200 miles, stretching from Oregon to Mexico.
  • The Coastal Trail is currently only about 50% completed.
  • When there is no actual trail to follow, the Pacific Coast Highway “becomes” the trail.
  • As many local trail runners know, the California Coastal Trail is one of the most beautiful trails in the country.
  • The Sonoma/Marin County sections of the CCT contain the highest % of trails (as opposed to highway shoulder).
