Features of the Coastal Trail
- Once completed, the Coastal Trail will be 1,200 miles, stretching from Oregon to Mexico.
- The Coastal Trail is currently only about 50% completed.
- When there is no actual trail to follow, the Pacific Coast Highway “becomes” the trail.
- As many local trail runners know, the California Coastal Trail is one of the most beautiful trails in the country.
- The Sonoma/Marin County sections of the CCT contain the highest % of trails (as opposed to highway shoulder).
Date and location
The Coastal Trail of California is running parallel to the Pacific Ocean.
About 70% of the run will be on the actual Coastal Trail. The remaining 30% on the shoulder of Highway 1/Pacific Coast Highway.

On: Friday, December the 16th - around 9AM
At: Southern tip of Mendocino County, on the Coastal Trail.
- Finish
On: Sunday, December the 18th
At: Marin Headlands/Sausalito Area, on the Coastal Trail.
